Check if a .au domain is being illegally listed for sale in breach of auDA Licensing Rules
Under auDA's Licensing Rules, .au domain names cannot be sold, leased, or traded as commodities. A domain listed for sale on a marketplace (such as Spaceship, Afternic, Sedo, or Above) may be in breach of these rules.
The complaint process is free and handled through the registrar first. If unresolved, it escalates to auDA directly. The sole remedy is cancellation of the domain — it cannot be transferred to you through this process.
To lodge a complaint yourself: Contact the domain's registrar directly with evidence that the domain is listed for sale. Reference auDA Licensing Rules clause 3.2 (prohibition on resale/transfer for value).
